Here's your permission slip

Reader,

I didn’t write a blog post last week.

Could I have? Absolutely.
Do I have one ready to go? Yep.
Could I have scheduled one in advance and checked the box? Also yes.

But it didn’t feel aligned for me.

Something I’ve noticed about the way I like to share is that most of my content comes from what I’m experiencing in the moment.

When I try to force it ahead of time just to stay “consistent,” it starts to feel less real. Less connected.

And last week, I was in the salon a lot. New salon energy, long days behind the chair, catching up with clients. Life has been full in a different way.

So instead of pushing myself to publish something just because Thursday rolled around… I gave myself permission to skip it.

Because I don’t need to do everything all the time.

And I wanted to share that with you because I think many of us carry this quiet pressure to keep producing, keep showing up, keep checking the boxes — even when our body might be asking for a little space.

So the question this week is:

Where could you give yourself permission to not do something?

Just a small moment of letting yourself off the hook.

Also...quick subject change...

I’ve received quite a few messages lately asking where I’ve been and when the next breathwork session is.

And the honest answer is… I don't have one scheduled yet.

There have been a lot of new things happening on my end. A new salon, rebuilding my website, shifting more of my energy into writing and blog posts instead of Instagram (they live longer and feel more meaningful to me).

And also, this season has been a bit of a “winter” for me — a time to rest, reflect, and integrate everything that’s been changing.

But breathwork is definitely not gone.

Scheduling the next session is on my list, and I’m hoping to have something on the calendar for April 12th (not confirmed yet). I'm curious to know if 4pm on Sunday's is still a good fit, or if earlier in the day, like 11am, works. Please reply to this email and let me know your honest thoughts.

Thank you for being here. Truly. It means a lot that you read these emails and stay connected with the work.

I hope to see you in person again soon.

Hi Reader, I wanted to pop into your inbox a little differently this week. Normally I’m sharing a weekly blog post, but this is the week I'm in the salon. I have barely opened laptop because my energy has been focused on hair, conversations in the chair, and being fully present there. So this is me giving myself permission to not do all the things all the time — and to not beat myself up for it because I’m human. And right now, this is where my energy is meant to be. There will be a blog post...

Hi Reader, Do you ever wake up and feel like your mind is already running ahead of you?Last week, this came up more than once in client conversations and I knew I needed to share it with you too. I wrote a blog post about this practice because it's supportive, especially from a nervous system and subconscious perspective. I share why it works, how I suggest doing it in a way that feels gentle and doable, and what to expect when resistance shows up because let's be real, sometimes it does. If...

Hi Reader, Have you ever wanted something deeply… and still found yourself hesitating or pulling back? You know what you want, you feel mentally ready, but then something inside you slows things down. You pause. You question. You wait...then nothing happens. We usually call that self-sabotage. But what if we look at it differently so that we can actually accomplish the things that we want. I wrote a new blog post exploring the difference between self-sabotage and protection and why your...
