Hi Reader, I want to share something that I just moved through, because it’s such a perfect example of how powerful our inner dialogue really is. As I’ve been shifting things into the new year, I decided it was time to redo my website. New platform, new layout, new content (a blog is coming soon, stay tuned!). And honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. For the first few days, the same thought kept looping in my head: "I don’t know how to do this and I’m really f**king frustrated." And the more I said it, the more stuck I felt. I was frustrated, overwhelmed, and second-guessing myself and everything felt harder than it needed to be. Then it hit me. This is literally the work I teach. The way we speak to ourselves matters. The words we say to ourselves become our beliefs. Our beliefs we repeat become the reality we live inside of. And I was reinforcing the exact belief that was keeping me stuck. So I made a conscious decision to change the way I was talking to myself. Instead of “I don’t know how to do this,” I started saying,”I am capable and I will figure this out.” And "even though this is new and challenging, I trust that I have all of the resources I need to make this happen.” Nothing external changed overnight. The platform didn’t suddenly become easier. But I was the one that changed. I changed my words, which changed my beliefs, which changed my reality. And within a few days, my website was up and running. Is it perfect? No. Is it finished? Not completely. But it’s live, it’s functional, it works, and I’m really proud of it and proud of myself for completing something challenging. And that’s another shift I’ve made over time. I don’t let perfectionism or procrastination stop me anymore. My clients know that done is better than perfect and movement (even 1%) is better than staying stuck. This is the kind of work we do inside The Embodied Shift Method. Not forcing positivity or bypassing hard moments, but learning how to catch the beliefs that are running in the background, soften the nervous system, and consciously choose a different way forward. Because when you start changing the way you speak to yourself, your identity shifts. You stop seeing yourself as someone who gets stuck and start seeing yourself as someone who figures things out. If you’ve been standing at the edge of something new and telling yourself “I don’t know how” or “I’m not ready yet,” I just want you to know this: you don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to believe that you’re capable of figuring it out as you go. And if you’re craving support in making those internal shifts in a grounded, sustainable way, The Embodied Shift Method is where we do that work together. Reader, I didn’t write a blog post last week. Could I have? Absolutely.Do I have one ready to go? Yep.Could I have scheduled one in advance and checked the box? Also yes. But it didn’t feel aligned for me. Something I’ve noticed about the way I like to share is that most of my content comes from what I’m experiencing in the moment. When I try to force it ahead of time just to stay “consistent,” it starts to feel less real. Less connected. And last week, I was in the salon a lot. New salon...
Hi Reader, I wanted to pop into your inbox a little differently this week. Normally I’m sharing a weekly blog post, but this is the week I'm in the salon. I have barely opened laptop because my energy has been focused on hair, conversations in the chair, and being fully present there. So this is me giving myself permission to not do all the things all the time — and to not beat myself up for it because I’m human. And right now, this is where my energy is meant to be. There will be a blog post...
Hi Reader, Do you ever wake up and feel like your mind is already running ahead of you?Last week, this came up more than once in client conversations and I knew I needed to share it with you too. I wrote a blog post about this practice because it's supportive, especially from a nervous system and subconscious perspective. I share why it works, how I suggest doing it in a way that feels gentle and doable, and what to expect when resistance shows up because let's be real, sometimes it does. If...
