This small shift that mattered more than I expected

Hi Reader,

Have you ever noticed how one small thought can quietly shape an entire experience?

That’s what happened to me recently while I was working on something new. I was excited… and also feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and more stuck than I needed to be.

And it all came back to one sentence I kept repeating to myself.

Once I noticed it—and chose to shift it—everything started moving again. Not perfectly. Not magically. But forward.

I wrote about the entire experience in a new blog post, because it felt like such a clear example of how our inner dialogue shapes what we believe is possible for us… especially when we’re standing at the edge of something new.

How Changing Your Inner Dialogue Can Shift Everything

If you’ve ever felt stuck, frustrated, or like you’re “doing everything right” but still not moving the way you want to—this one might land.

You can read it here → https://mindbodyandbreath.com/changing-your-inner-dialogue/

If you’ve been telling yourself some version of “I don’t know how” or “I’m not ready yet,” this might meet you right where you are.

No pressure to do anything with it. Just an offering.

And if it brings something up, you can always reply and tell me what landed.

To your next shift,
Haley

P.S. This is the kind of work we slow down and practice inside The Embodied Shift Method — learning how to notice what’s running in the background and choose a way forward that feels supportive instead of forceful. Reader, I didn’t write a blog post last week. Could I have? Absolutely.Do I have one ready to go? Yep.Could I have scheduled one in advance and checked the box? Also yes. But it didn’t feel aligned for me. Something I’ve noticed about the way I like to share is that most of my content comes from what I’m experiencing in the moment. When I try to force it ahead of time just to stay “consistent,” it starts to feel less real. Less connected. And last week, I was in the salon a lot. New salon...

Hi Reader, I wanted to pop into your inbox a little differently this week. Normally I’m sharing a weekly blog post, but this is the week I'm in the salon. I have barely opened laptop because my energy has been focused on hair, conversations in the chair, and being fully present there. So this is me giving myself permission to not do all the things all the time — and to not beat myself up for it because I’m human. And right now, this is where my energy is meant to be. There will be a blog post...

Hi Reader, Do you ever wake up and feel like your mind is already running ahead of you?Last week, this came up more than once in client conversations and I knew I needed to share it with you too. I wrote a blog post about this practice because it's supportive, especially from a nervous system and subconscious perspective. I share why it works, how I suggest doing it in a way that feels gentle and doable, and what to expect when resistance shows up because let's be real, sometimes it does. If...
